William Jacob Management to participate in Johan Sverdrup

Houston, TX – March 2, 2015 – William Jacob Management, Inc. (WJM) in collaboration with Bergen-based Odfjell Drilling, announced today that the companies will take part in detailed Design on the topsides of the drilling platform for the Statoil-operated Johan Sverdrup field development in the Norwegian North Sea.

The Design work will continue until 2018. This award is the first for the Odfjell/WJM alliance since it was announced in October, 2014. The contract award to Odfjell Drilling from Aibel occurred earlier this week. Prior to this announcement, Aibel was awarded the Nkr8 billion ($1.05 billion USD) Design, construction and procurement contract for the 21,500 ton drilling platform. The platform is due to come on line near the end of 2019.
